CAREGivers Are Now Care Professionals

CAREGivers may have changed names, but the work remains the same

The work our team of CAREGivers do in Calgary is the backbone of our business. The skills, expertise and experiences make huge impacts on our clients’ lives.

To reflect the important role they serve, using their skills to improve the lives of our aging population, we are changing the titles of our entire caregiving team. “Care Professional” will be the new official job title.

This is a small shift on the surface, changing a few letters here and there, but it reflects a much deeper goal of highlighting the true professional nature of the work. Caregiving is a noble profession and can be a fulfilling career.

This change is happening throughout our entire Home Instead network, and you’ll begin seeing the term “Care Professional” in recruitment ads and social media posts. This summer, Home Instead will launch a national TV campaign using this new title as well. This is a natural step in our goal to elevate and the importance of the work.

There are few careers that provide such deep human connection and positive impact to lives as caregiving. As a Care Professional, the help is crucial to ensure aging adults maintain their dignity and quality of life.
