Janet Hassell - Owner & President
Janet’s passion for compassionate care led her to begin with Home Instead in 2008, creating a trusted support system for aging adults and their families. As the proud owner of both the North Shore, Downtown Vancouver and Victoria offices, she is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our clients by ensuring they receive the warmth, respect, and personalized care they deserve.

Selena Ferguson - Community Relations & Business Development
If you’ve reached out to Home Instead, chances are you’ve already connected with Selena! With over a decade of experience in senior care, she is here to listen, guide, and support families as they navigate care options. Selena’s passion lies in making clients and family members feel supported and confident in beginning their journey with us.

Bryony Wilson - Client Care Manager - West Vancouver
With a heart full of compassion and years of nursing experience, Bryony is dedicated to making every client feel truly cared for. As a RN from the UK, she brings warmth, kindness, and a personal touch to every care plan, ensuring that clients receive the support they need to thrive. Bryony believes in building meaningful connections with clients, families and Care Professionals, creating a sense of comfort, dignity, and well-being every step of the way.

Fiona Hickey - Client Care Manager - North Van & Downtown
Fiona’s warmth and kindness shine through in everything she does. As a former Social Worker from Ireland, she is passionate about ensuring every client feels valued, heard, and truly cared for. She collaborates with families and Care Professionals to create personalized care plans that bring comfort, dignity, and peace of mind. With Fiona by your side, you’re not just receiving care—you’re gaining a compassionate advocate who treats every client like family.

Kristina Golbourn - Client Care Manager - Victoria
Having started as a companion and later growing into her role as a Client Care Manager, Kristina understands the importance of personalized, compassionate support. She is dedicated to creating care plans that meet each client’s unique needs while providing guidance and reassurance to families. Kristina works closely with families and Care Professionals to ensure every client receives the highest quality care, fostering meaningful connections and enhancing their well-being.

Saoirse Letsome O’Rourke - HR Generalist
From onboarding our fabulous team to providing ongoing coaching and feedback, our HR Generalist is dedicated to ensuring our Care Professionals feel supported and empowered. With 8 years of experience in recruitment and Human Resources, Saoirse focuses on professional development and helping our team grow and succeed in their roles. Her commitment to fostering a positive and nurturing work environment ensures we have a compassionate, skilled team ready to provide exceptional care to our clients.

Arshdeep Kaur - Scheduler
Arsh brings a wealth of experience to her role, having worked with Home Instead for four years as a Care Professional in Cape Breton and Halifax before moving to BC and joining our team in 2022. She understands firsthand the difference the right caregiver can make in a client’s life. With her deep understanding of both client needs and caregiver strengths, Arsh ensures scheduling runs smoothly, creating seamless matches that enhance the care experience for everyone .

Cian McCarthy - Scheduler
With a background in biotechnology and years of hospital experience, Cian brings a strong analytical and process-driven approach to scheduling. His ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments makes him a valuable part of our team, ensuring every client is matched with the right Care Professional. Cian is committed to creating reliable schedules that prioritize consistency and high-quality care for every family.

Russel Fernando - Scheduler
With a Business Administration degree from the Philippines and nearly a decade in customer service, Russel brings strong organization and a client focused approach to scheduling. As a Scheduler for the past three years, she ensures seamless matches that provide families with dependable care and peace of mind.

Marie Strilkova - Office & Finance Administrator
With a Business Accounting degree, our Office & Finance Administrator expertly manages the billing and invoicing for clients, ensuring accuracy and timely processing. Marie’s strong attention to detail, combined with a deep understanding of financial systems, allows her to provide seamless service for both clients and caregivers. Marie’s dedication to ensuring everything runs smoothly contributes to the overall efficiency of the office, supporting both clients and our team with a high level of professionalism and care.
