We honour Barbara for this month’s standing ovation for delivering the Best Laughs.
Barbara gives the Best Laughs, bringing in bright light and laughter each day, uplifting everyone around her. One word to describe Barbara would be: “Lighthearted”. While she offers compassionate care for her clients living with disability, she also delivers her own style of cheer, optimism and hope for what the next day holds, with a grin.
The very first contact with Barbara during her employment process in August 2023, was fun and laughter, that gave us an impression of how much of a spirit lifter she is. Her shift reports with clients include details of things that clients have said to her in difficult moments which she accepted cheerfully. Barbara doesn’t let other people’s bad days get to her. Her strength is in letting her humour flow out, to put clients at ease, while letting her caring personality shine through.
There is never a dull moment with Barbara. Thank you for using humour to radiate joy to our clients and for putting them at ease.
