Home Instead recently founded a coalition with seven other leading healthcare organizations to advocate for home-based care for older adults.
The recently formed group, Moving Health Home, represents a diverse group of healthcare providers with a common goal of creating greater access to healthcare in the home and modernizing the current healthcare ecosystem, regulations and payor sources.
In addition to Home Instead, Inc., founding companies include: Amazon Care, DispatchHealth, Landmark Health, Signify Health, Elara Caring, Intermountain Healthcare and Ascension.
“If you think about the future of hospital rooms, they look a lot like your living room,” said Jeff Huber, CEO of Home Instead.
The creation of Moving Health Home is another example of the Home Instead commitment to serving the needs of an aging society by uniting key stakeholders from across public, private and social sectors.
Studies consistently show most older adults prefer to remain in their homes as they age, and home is the most-scalable place to provide care.
