Home Instead UK and International CEO Martin Jones was recently awarded Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for his services to older people.
The annual MBE recognitions are given from the Royal family on merit for exceptional achievement or service and are recognized across the world.
“I am proud and humbled to receive this award – particularly as it is for services to older people,” Jones said. “Home Instead’s mission is to expand the world’s capacity to care. For this to become reality, companies like Home Instead, the government and broader society need to ensure that there is the infrastructure, resources and people in place. “The integration of health and social care is critical, as is a mindset where old age is celebrated and revered.”
Jones currently chairs the Homecare Association, The Care Workers’ Charity, Home instead Charities UK, and is a member of the Age UK Board. As International CEO, Jones helps deliver care to more than 16,000 clients.
