Home Instead History & Mission
For nearly three decades, Home Instead has delivered compassionate, high-quality care to seniors around the globe.Greg and Karen Charyna
have been owners of Home Instead in Saskatoon for the past 15 years. Personal experiences with our own parents inspired us to bring this service to Saskatoon. We understand that some circumstances of aging can be difficult for families and our desire is to help them prepare for the progressive stages of aging conditions and provide a trusted source of home care.
Karen and Greg opened Saskatoon's Home Instead office in 2008. Greg (M.Div., M.Ed.) brings 12 years of experience serving families in churches and Karen (M. Ed.) employs expertise through her previous work as a counselling psychologist. Helping families comes naturally to us.
We have supported our parents through a crippling car accident and two subsequent years of rehabilitation as well as stroke, arthritis, hip replacements and cancer treatment. This work is personal for us - we have experienced the roller coaster of caring for aging parents and know that families can teamwork to help parents remain independent and enjoy quality of life as they age in place.
We place a high priority on serving people with dignity and respect, providing the highest quality of service through a carefully selected and trained staff of compassionate Care Professionals. Karen & Greg appreciate their dedicated Admin team and enjoy working together to change the face of aging, from fear to hope.
