2022 Care Professional of the Year - Vivian K.
Vivian has been part of our team for six years, serving 66 different clients through over 5600 hours of care. There are many couples who have received her care over the years, and several assignments have been challenging due to mental illness or advanced dementia. Through her maturity and passion for Home Instead’s mission, Vivian takes the lead. Since the pandemic's beginning, we appreciate how Vivian has consistently served clients amidst incredible change, restrictions and risk
Our Client Care Coordinator, Rita, said: “It has been a privilege for us to watch Vivian share her heart when introducing her to a new client. We get to see this beautiful thing happening… It is not just how she earns someone’s trust and advocates for them, it is everything combined. Vivian is such a gentle spirit, so tender-hearted and generous, and nothing changes that for her. Over six years, our whole team has never seen Vivian present herself differently…. Under any circumstances… she always gives her best.”
We see how Vivian becomes a big part of her client’s world, making a significant impact through kindness. She is pleasant and humble… her presence and service are uplifting for clients. So much so that clients will do anything to not lose her… even adjusting their schedules so that can keep Vivian in their life. If we needed a Care Pro for our own Moms, we would trust Vivian.
Vivian embodies all that we love to see in a Care Pro. After retiring early, she was looking for meaningful work and to express her kindness to people in need. Although she did not have any professional care experience, she instantly developed a rapport with clients and acquired the abilities to provide skilled care. Over six years, her responsibilities have grown within our organization. We look to Vivian to help new Care Pros as they rise to their responsibilities confidently and competently. We would be pleased if new Care Pros emulated all the qualities we see in her.
Congratulations, Vivian!
