We honor Ann this month as our ‘Diplomat’—a person that has a positive attitude and a respectful way of carrying out our mission. Ann is a trustworthy source of inspiration who holds herself to the highest standards, thus encouraging others to do the same.
When Ann arrives for duty, she emits a presence of composure and strength. She becomes an integral part of ensuring the client’s care plan is carried out during her visit. This might mean accepting the challenge of helping a client get on board with an exercise/training program and paving the way to ensure he sets goals for himself. In another case, it may mean walking into a brand-new situation of packing up a palliative client’s belongings for the family.
When a client doesn’t wish to partake in certain daily activities, Ann thoughtfully finds creative ways engage the client. She is diplomatic, gentle, and effective. Ann has been instrumental in changes that clients have achieved and in routines that assist them in a better quality of life. Ann’s attitude reflects her own beliefs being that of “challenge accepted.”
