Lavern, is always positive and resilient, adapting to behaviors from her
clients. Lavern understands that it is the disease - not the person-
responsible for their words and actions. She adjusts and accepts
clients where they are and meets them there to provide excellent care.
Lavern rarely asks for accommodations; she has a deep reservoir of
energy and doesn’t get flapped when situations change.
For example, one afternoon, hours before she was to drive away on
vacation, she accepted a short notice shift, saying, “No problem, I will
just pack my car when I get home tonight, and we will head out then.”
Lavern knew the client would be in a tough spot when their regular
Care Pro called in sick on short notice and made herself available to
serve.
