Kasey, since you began working with Home Instead at the end of summer last year, we have appreciated your service while you study to become a nurse. When you enter a room your personality sparkles as you ignite the relationship you are about to have with a client. You emit this gentle, yet confident energy, helping to put others at ease. When I introduce you to clients, I hear you say things such as “I’m here to help,” and “I can take care of that for you.” I see shoulders relax and faces of relief. This is such a gift because while you are able to do all of that, you also have a thoughtful assertiveness that some of our clients require, like those that might not always want to be doing their exercises—you make sure it happens and don’t listen to excuses. You get the job done, and all in a wonderful, kind way.
When we looked at what makes your work with Home Instead special, there were several things that stood out, one of which was your adaptability regarding change. We see you pick up and continue to the next thing without hesitation. You don’t flinch if Plan A is now Plan B or Plan C. You are resilient and capable of rolling with things as they unfold, and this flexibility will continue to serve you well in your career. And along with all of that, you are a positive and optimistic person, making you a delight to be around. You are also an excellent communicator, letting us know of changes in your school schedule and communicating any changes regarding our clients. Because of these qualities, it is easy to match you with clients. Some of the work you have done was difficult and likely stretched you to grow. It is wonderful to see how you do not take upsets personally. We consistently hear how you love seeing your clients. We know they appreciate all you do for them. You provide skilled support that enables clients to remain independent while finding ways to connect and ensuring the tasks are completed. You have a caring spirit Kasey, and this is definitely the right type of work for you, as you demonstrate to us each day. Thank you for your easy-going nature, your determination, your ability to adapt and your skilled caregiving, all of which enrich the lives of our clients every day. You make the difference out there and we’ve noticed. Thank you for sharing your heart.
