August 2023 Care Professional of the Month - Donna.
Dedicated, consistent, personable, punctual, loyal, and genuine are a few words the team uses to describe August 2023 Care Professional of the Month! Donna has been with HISC for over 7 years and truly is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of seniors. She used to serve Debbie and Fred at Brewesters and they trusted that Donna would be a great addition to the team.
Donna is well loved by all of the clients she sees. She has this warm and comforting air about her, making the clients feel at ease. They see a friendship forming right from the start. No matter where we send her she does an excellent job, she pays close attention to the clients needs and wants to be able to make them happy while keeping them safe. All of the Seniors are eager to have her back! We love seeing Donna in the field!
One of the stories we like to share with the new Care Professionals is the one with Donna and one of the clients she sees. Her time and relationship with this client is remarkable, this is a bit of the story;
Upon the first time meeting client and Donna, I saw the client requested "Donna I need my cheese and merlot, it was 2:30pm, I was stunned." Their relationship always took precedence which was easily noticed upon meeting them both. Her professionalism shows in everything she does, from wearing her Home Instead uniform to caring greatly for our clients, she has also experienced caring for one of our longstanding clients until she was able to pass comfortably in her home. The family was so thankful for all of Donna’s support throughout the process.
Our team at Home Instead hears great reviews about the care Donna provides. Her common sense is outstanding, at the office we appreciate her flexibility and support she provides when we need her most to cover shifts or start with a new client, like D.T. This family is used to the private caregiver experience, but trusted us to have Donna come in at a stressful time for the family. Donna was exactly what they needed and stayed dedicated to the temporary schedule in place. Deeply compassionate, paid attention to detail and provided the highest quality of care available, the dedication she brings to her work is impressive.
