October 2022 Care Professional of the Month - Hailee M.
Congratulations to Hailee McLean as she has been nominated Home Instead’s October 2022 Care Professional of the Month! In Hailee’s 5 years with Home Instead she has time and time again proven why she deserves this award. Here are a few reasons from the team:
Hailee’s positive attitude and upbeat personality make her very approachable. It is impossible not to trust her as she has a true understanding of the “7 second rule” and clients instantly trust Hailee after meeting her. She makes a wonderful impression in those fist 7 seconds. We have yet to have a client that does not call in after her first shift to ask for more time with Hailee.
An example of how Hailee builds trust with clients is best exemplified on the very first shift with a new client. Hailee excels at putting nervous and anxious clients as ease. With her client Jean, she is detail oriented, accurately sticks to the specific routine, and does so with a positive attitude. This permits Jean to sleep nightly in peace. It is a very important part of her overnights and care.
One of Hailee’s Managers met with her virtually to have a retention call with her. She came prepared with a full list of notes with tips to give to new CP’s and a list of what she loved most about working here. She did this without being asked. The joy and passion in everything she said was so inspiring, she truly understands what it is to work as a team.
Although Hailee may not be aware of this, when a care professional is struggling with how to write documentation, we send them examples of Hailee's reports. She documents clearly and paints a picture of the shift without overwhelming the reader. Her words are always professional and touch on all key aspects of care.
When our Recruitment Coordinator Olivia was coming to understand Home Instead’s culture she interviewed Hailee to meet with a Care Professional who exemplifies our culture. Hailee simply amazed Olivia. Hailee shares our beliefs and purpose. She embodies our mission statement and strives to provide the the highest quality of care to our clients and their loved ones to help them remain safe and independent. She truly exceeds the expectations of those we care for.
