"Be a Santa to a Senior" 2023: Bringing Joy Back to Hamilton's Aging Adults
The holiday season is a time of joy, warmth, and community spirit. Continuing a heartfelt tradition, the Home Instead Hamilton Office is proud to announce the return of the "Be a Santa to a Senior" program for 2023. This year, we're excited to bring back the in-person element of this program, which has been a virtual affair for the past few years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
A Tradition of Giving
For more than 12 year, our Home Instead Hamilton Office has been an active participant in the "Be a Santa to a Senior" program. This initiative is more than just gift-giving – it's about providing companionship and holiday cheer to aging adults who might otherwise be alone during this festive season.
How You Can Participate in 2023
We invite the Hamilton community to join us in making this year's program a resounding success. Here’s how you can be a part of this wonderful initiative:
- Step 1: Choose a Senior to Support
Browse through our list of participating seniors and select one you’d like to support. These are individuals who would greatly appreciate your kindness and generosity. - Step 2: Buy Gifts
Pick out thoughtful gifts that you believe would bring joy and comfort to your chosen senior. Your consideration can make all the difference! - Step 3: Drop Off Gifts
Please bring your unwrapped gifts, placed in a gift bag with tissue and wrapping on the side, to any of our designated drop-off locations by December 16th: - West Mountain Drop-off: Send us a message for the address. This location offers 24-hour drop-off.
- Gus + Son Barber Shop: Located at 1530 King St. East, Hamilton. Drop off times are Wednesday to Saturday, from 8 am to 3 pm.
- Our Office: You can find us at 108 George St., Second Floor. We're open for drop-offs from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm, and on Saturday by appointment only.
- Our Brantford Office: Visit us at 388 St. Paul Ave, Suite 101A. Drop-offs here are by appointment, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 4 pm.
