2021 Walk For Alzheimers

Written By: Harpreet Singh, Owner

HOME INSTEAD PARTICIPATES IN THE 2021 WALK FOR ALZHEIMER’S

The Walk for Alzheimer’s 2021 is underway, only this year given pandemic restrictions the event will be a virtual show of support for our community.

Our humble request to you to SPREAD THE WORD, PARTICIPATE, CONTRIBUTE!! Click HERE.

Despite the constraints we face together and the 2021 Walk being virtual, the cause remains just as worthy as ever. Two-in-three British Columbians have personally known someone who is living with or who has lived with dementia. Team Home Instead shares the Alzheimer Society of B.C.’s ultimate vision of a world without dementia. And that vision begins with a world where people living with the disease are welcomed, acknowledged, and included. This year’s Burnaby walk honors Dorothy and Les Bullis, members of the community who have been affected by dementia. CLICK HERE to read their story.

The funds raised will support the over 70,000 British Columbians living with dementia – and their families – have access to Alzheimer Society of B.C. support, education and information. Interested in donating – please CLICK HERE!

As sad as it may be to miss the energy and warmth of interacting with each other in person, the 2021 Walk promises fun ways of interacting and feeling involved. There is a Fundraising Contest with a draw to win a $1,000 VISA gift card! There is also an Online Auction, with prizes including a signed Bo Horvat hockey stick, hotel stays, winery tours, a Fitbit and so much more!!

Team Home Instead is a proud sponsor and participant in the 2021 Walk for Alzheimer’s, honoring all the loved ones and families dealing with the debilitating impact of Alzheimer’s.
