Care Professional of the Month – April
We are delighted to announce Sarafina as the recipient of the Home Instead Markham Care Professional of the Month award for April 2023. Sarafina's dedication, compassion, and commitment to improving the lives of her clients make her an invaluable member of our caregiving team.
Sarafina was born and raised in Scarborough, ON, with Jamaican and Trini roots. She is a proud mother of two daughters, aged 3 and 7. With a background in culinary arts, Sarafina previously worked as a prep cook in a restaurant. In her leisure time, she enjoys reading crime novels, drawing, and spending quality time with her loved ones.
Driven by her passion for helping others, Sarafina decided to become a PSW to improve the quality of life for her clients and provide them with comfort and support in their own homes. Her nurturing nature and extensive experience in caring for family members have honed her compassionate approach to caregiving. Working with Home Instead has allowed Sarafina to develop strong relationships with her clients over extended periods. She values the opportunity to provide personalized care that addresses their unique needs, going beyond the basic duties of a caregiver.
