Mary's journey began in January 2016 when she moved to Canada, leaving behind her beloved grandparents who played a pivotal role in shaping her upbringing. Raised by her grandparents in the absence of her parents, Mary cherished the love and care they bestowed upon her, instilling in her a deep sense of compassion and empathy. It was this profound influence that sparked Mary's passion for caring for the elderly, a role she approaches with the same tenderness and devotion she showed her grandparents.
Outside of her caregiving duties, Mary finds joy in the simple pleasures of life. With two beloved dogs, Luna and Johny, by her side, she spends her days off at the dog park, reveling in the companionship of her furry friends. Despite her busy schedule, Mary prioritizes quality time with her family, gathering around the table for meals and cozy movie nights—a cherished tradition that strengthens their bond.
While Mary's academic journey began in accounting and finance, her heart yearned for a career in the medical field. Encouraged by her mother, Mary embarked on a path in Personal Support Work (PSW), laying the groundwork for her future aspirations in nursing. Her year of experience as a PSW provided invaluable insights and knowledge, fueling her passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Mary found a supportive and caring community at Home Instead, where the well-being of each staff member is paramount. The management's unwavering support and genuine concern for her personal and professional growth create a nurturing environment where Mary thrives. She appreciates the acknowledgment of her personal life and the accessibility of management for any concerns or requests—a testament to Home Instead's commitment to its employees.
