After a candidate completes the employment application, there is a multi-step interview process and candidates must pass a background check prior to joining the Home Instead team.
Upon hire, a team member will receive on-the-job training starting with orientation to learn all about how to care for an aging adult and their family.
In addition to orientation, all staff receive training in, and must demonstrate mastery of, providing care for our aging loved ones. This includes the aging process, safety of caregivers and clients, and how to build a relationship with clients.
Staff receive training for all aspects of their expected role including how to be the eyes and ears for the family of our clients. Specialized care training, such as Alzheimer's care, is taught to ensure a full understanding of the necessary aspects of providing exceptional care for these individuals.
