Care Professional of the Month for May 2024- Tameka S.
Congratulations to our Care Professional of the month for May, Tameka S.! Tameka has been with Home Instead since October 2023. As Tameka was growing up, she knew she wanted to serve others. From an early age she wanted the opportunity to care for the elderly. She loves how rewarding it can be to serve her clients.
“My favorite part of being a Care Professional with Home Instead is the time spent getting to know my clients, socializing with them, and hearing their stories,” said Tameka. She enjoys the opportunity of being a listening ear for her clients. She especially loves it when her clients find something new that excites them. It makes her happy to see them still finding new hobbies or activities that bring them joy in their later years.
Tameka is always trying to tailor her time with her clients to meet their needs and cater to their preferences. For one of her clients that loves food, she is constantly looking up new recipes and other ideas of new foods for him to try or for them to make together. For another client, Tameka spent time recently researching squirrels! Her fascinated client had been watching them out her window and wondered out loud why they act the way they do.
