Aging Senses
Imagine what it would be like if you could no longer see well enough to drive a car or hear your loved one's voice from across the room. Sensory loss is very common among older adults yet recognizing and understanding the debilitating impact of sensory loss for an older loved one can be difficult, even for family caregivers.
Aging Senses was developed to increase awareness and create broader understanding around the daily challenges faced by someone with sensory impairments with the hope of creating a more inclusive and aging-friendly world. To help seniors and families coping with a sensory loss, Home Instead, Inc. conducted research and developed free tips and resources, including an online sensory loss simulation and instructions on how to create an at-home Aging Sensitivity Kit.
